While visiting Chris (He does the Dine for Life in Seattle) over at My 2 Cents I found this neat little quiz,
Which book are you? So, my results are one of the only Vonnegut books I haven’t read… hmmm, need to get this one:
You’re Mother Night!
by Kurt Vonnegut
Nobody knows what to believe about you, and you know least of all. You
spent most of your time convinced that the ends justify the means, but your means were,
well, downright mean! And the end is nigh. Meanwhile all you want is to travel back in
time, if not to change, then to just delight in the way it used to be. You are who you
pretend to be. Oh yes, you’re the great pretender.
Take the Book Quiz
at the Blue Pyramid.
I’m ashamed to say I haven’t read any of Vonnegut’s work. Where should I start?
Haven’t read this one, but I like this quiz. I might just have to take it and find out what book I am.
Speaking of books I see you’re reading Janet Evanovich’s newest. How have you liked them lately? Have you read the others? I started out really liking this series, but it’s kind of got dull on me, it seems like she’s just repeating herself. I haven’t read the last couple, so maybe she’s come out of her slump.
Steven: Really, any of his early works are great. I really liked Galapagos and Slaughterhouse Five and Jailbird :).
John: I haven’t read this one either, it’s from 1961…
I actually finished 12, Plum Lovin’ (a between the numbers book) and 13. She does repeat, I think for those readers who haven’t read the other numbers, but I just skim those parts. I really enjoy them, mostly because Stephanie can get herself into some crazy shit. I’m waiting for Sue Grafton’s next alphabet book now. Gee, can you tell I like series??
I’m a Hoosier, and I’ve never read Vonnegut either!
I like the Sue Grafton’s alphabet books too. I got into them backwards. I think she was around k or l and I picked it up and really liked it, so I ended up reading them backwards to the letter a. I really like the character of Stephanie, I might have to give them another try. I love series books, I am always happy when I discover a new one.
Donna: You have to read at least one 🙂
John: I discovered Kinsey at about K; but I’m a stickler for following sequence, so I had to go back to A and read them all. Same thing with the nursery rhyme books by James Patterson 🙂
That’s pretty cool. I’ll have to give this a go. Have a great day. 🙂
I’m Love in the Time of Cholera – one of my favorite books. I read it over and over – does that mean I’m narcissistic? I never realized!
I was Love in the Time of Cholera as well… which I haven’t read. Shame on me.
Sandee: I’ll check in to see what you are.
Jess: I’m not surprised 🙂
Sarah: I haven’t read it either, but Jess swears by it. She’s a fellow upstater-transplanted-to-NOLA, btw. 🙂
I finally Famed you and your blog… 🙂
I’m sure it would make more sense if I knew the book or the author….but such surveys are always so fun! Hey thanks for stopping by my blog.
